Investigation on the flow and heat transfer characteristics of supercritical carbondioxide in printed circuit heat exchanger with asymmetric airfoil fins

As an essential component of the SCO2 recompression Brayton cycle, recuperator has a significant impact on efficiency and stability entire cycle system. The printed circuit heat exchanger (PCHE) is most suitable for in cycle. To investigate effects structural parameters asymmetric airfoil fins thermo-hydraulic performance PCHEs, simplified three-dimensional numerical simulation models PCHE with National Advisory Committee Aeronautics (NACA) 85XX series were built. An optimization method combining orthogonal experiment quadratic polynomial surrogate model multi-objective genetic algorithm was proposed to obtain optimal parameters. results show that fin thickness lb effect comprehensive fluid flow performance, transverse spacing lc highest influence thermal performance. optimum set are combination 3.9mm, longitudinal 11.5mm, 0.77mm.
